Violet Innovations is an applied research and consulting company studying how prior experience, role, trust, context, and message design shape what people notice and how they interpret information.

Violet turns that research into practical tools that help organizations diagnose consequential uncertainty, test a proposed change with intended receivers, and compare the original prediction with what the evidence later shows.

How Violet is different

The prediction remains visible after the recommendation.

Many audits stop at advice. Research platforms help teams design, run, and analyze studies. Violet connects a diagnosed information-to-action problem to the consequential uncertainty, the smallest credible test, the resulting decision, and—where available—the field outcome.

Recruitment, collection, or live experimentation may use appropriate external infrastructure. Violet’s distinctive responsibility is the reasoning that connects the problem, prediction, evidence, and decision.

Why Violet exists

The message is only part of the communication.

Organizations often assume that if information is accurate and clearly written, it will be understood as intended. But receivers bring their own goals, expertise, prior experiences, trust, values, and constraints.

Those conditions influence what enters attention, which cues appear important, and what interpretation becomes likely.

Violet was created to study this gap and make it practically useful.

Osagie Osemwegie

Osagie Osemwegie, known as James, founded Violet Innovations to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, human behaviour, business strategy, and communication.

His professional work spans engineering and AI leadership across financial technology, digital health, and enterprise software. His research interests centre on how computational systems can help us understand human attention, interpretation, decision-making, and social outcomes.

During his Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, his research explored computational and AI-based approaches to human and societal challenges, including mental health, food security, and behavioural data.

He also holds an MBA focused on business analytics and a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. He completed the Certificate of Completion in Disruptive Strategy through Harvard Business School Online, where he studied disruptive innovation and the Jobs to Be Done framework.

Osagie continues to contribute to collaborative research involving University of Saskatchewan researchers while developing Violet's receiver-conditioned attention framework.

Engineering helps establish what a system or message actually contains. Business strategy clarifies the job a receiver is trying to accomplish and what is at stake. Behavioural and AI research help examine why different receivers may attend to different signals.

Violet's receiver-conditioned attention framework is under active development. Its predictions are probabilistic, receiver states must be inferred carefully, and the framework requires continued empirical testing.

The aim is not to claim certainty about what a person will think. The aim is to produce explicit, testable hypotheses about what may attract attention, how a message may be interpreted, and where communication could fail.
